Movement between groups is based upon the philosophy that swimmers
progress at their own rates while keeping in mind that swimming is
also meant to be age appropriate, fun, and challenging. It is the
philosophy of the RCR coaching staff that swimmers who wish to be
moved from group to group notify their coaches at any time towards
the end of the current season and between seasons. The RCR coaching
staff will evaluate each swimmer with the criteria listed below
along with the appropriate checklists. The coaching
recommendation will be discussed with the swimmer and parents of
the swimmer as soon as possible. As always the RCR coaching staff
will attempt to make the most appropriate decision for the swimmer
with his/her career longevity in mind. Just because a swimmer
completes the necessary checklist of skills doesn’t
necessarily mean the swimmer is ready to move groups and it is the
coach recommendation that is the ultimate deciding factor in this
process.
