Jr Racers-- $25 per month
The Jr Racers is for beginning swimmers typically between the ages of 4 to10. Swimmers will learn basic skills, become familiar with swimming equipment, learn swimming terms, learn all 4 swimming strokes, and basic clock management. This group focuses on basic swimming skills and learning how to do things correctly and legally, while making swimming enjoyable and fun. Although swimmers in this group are encouraged to compete, it is not a necessity. This group does not focus on the training aspects of swimming, but instead focuses on good swimming stroke development, along with swimming for enjoyment.
Age Group--$40 per month
The Age Group program is for swimmers with some experience in the water between the ages of 7-13. Swimmers in this group swimmers learn to refine their basic skills while starting to work on the training aspects of swimming. Swimmers are encouraged to swim on a more regular basis (i.e. 4-5 days a week), and begin attending swim meets (i.e. 2-3 per season). Swimmers in this group will learn to start testing their limits during practice while still focusing on good swimming skills including but not limited to: starts, turns, drills, clock management, good technique in all 4 strokes, and pacing during a workout/races. As always this group also focuses on swimming for the enjoyment of sport, competition, and recreation.
Senior II--$68.75 per month
The Senior II Group is for swimmers with some experience in the water between the ages of 12-18. Swimmers in this group learn to refine their skills; however training becomes a large emphasis within this group. Swimmers in this group are HIGHLY encouraged to attend at least 3 swim meets during the swimming season and practice on a regular basis (i.e. 4-7 times per week). Swimmers in this group will begin testing the limits of their bodies with sets that focus on a variety of threshold training techniques (both aerobic and anaerobic), sprint training, kicking, dryland training, and meet preparation). Swimmers in this group are also expected to learn how to self manage and self regulate during a workout and be self motivated to complete the workout even without a coach hovering over them.
Senior I--$87.50 per month
The Senior I Group is for swimmers with a variety of experiences in the water between the ages of 13-18. Swimmers in this group will have achieved at least one of the following time standards: A thru AAAA in at least 3 events, USA Swimming National Top 10 Ranking, 1 Sectional qualifying time standard, or 1 Junior National thru Olympic Trial qualifying time. Swimmers focus less on stroke refinement and instead training becomes a large emphasis within the group. Swimmers in this group should attend at least 3 swim meets during the regular swimming season including the SD State Meet, and 1 post season swimming meet if qualified. Swimmers in this group typically practice 6 days per week and highly encouraged to swim doubles (i.e. both AM and PM practice) during the short course and long course season. Swimmers in this group will test the limits of their minds and body, be very competitive (within reason) during practice and at swim meets. Swimmers in this group are also expected to already understand how to self manage and self regulate during a work out and be self motivated to complete the workout even without a coach hovering over them.
